How did you come to be staying in one of our properties?
"Our insurance company had been looking for accommodation for us, but wasn't able to find anywhere that accepted dogs. I searched on my own and came across this Smarter Rent.
To be honest, there aren't many places on the short-term rental market for the area we wanted to stay in. We'd already exhausted our investigations and none of the properties were right for us - some had dated furnishings, some modern but stunningly eclectic, and one was nice but had cream carpet starting at the entrance and laid throughout. Our pup is fully house trained, but we love walking so we get a bit muddy… and I spill coffee from time to time!
When Smarter Rent called to say they’d found the ideal property, I had no idea what to expect - but the moment we opened the door, we knew it was where we wanted to stay. The first thing I noticed was the calm, modern styling. And while it was immaculate, it was also 'cleanable' with hardwood floors downstairs and hard-wearing carpets upstairs, meaning we could comfortably come and go without worrying too much.
Smarter Rent were also warm and understanding of our situation. We'd been staying with friends for almost a month and were desperate to find a place and feel settled."
How has the experience with the Smarter Rent team been?
"The team are just amazing, keeping us up to date every step of the way. Our insurance company, however, were much less straightforward to deal with. Your team were hugely patient with us as we sorted things out with the insurance to arrange payment."
What has it been like staying in a Smarter Rent property?
"The property is very comfortable, and has been set up with everything we need. For a start, the mattresses are excellent. We all know how important a good night's sleep is! There was also a stock of everyday items like dish soap, toilet paper, salt and pepper, and other bits to get us going. It made a huge difference during this hectic, unexpected time."
What were the highlights of your stay?
"Your team are just really nice people. From the day of our arrival we felt cared for: from making sure the place was ready for us, assisting us as we sorted out a few details to leaving us fresh flowers when we arrived."
What would you say to other people in your position?
"Switch out any incandescent bulbs in your loft for LEDs so your house doesn’t set fire. Kidding... kind of!
